stan winston 1946-2008

i was actually watching jurassic park late sunday night and i couldn’t help but think about how well that movie still holds up.  and a lot of that can be directly credited to stan winston, who died yesterday at the age of 62.  the film world has lost a true visionary; the man was a special effects legend.  here’s a short list of some of my favorites from his long career.
